Ambush!

It was foggy and rainy. The men lay on either side of the road waiting for the looters. The man had goteen two more men to join them. Their ambush party was now six. the plan was to take out the looters with the heavier weapons first then get the rest. No prisoners were to be taken. Two hours after laying in the wet grass they heard the sound of footsteps and horses. Hopefully none of the horses would be killed but it was improbable. As the looters came into view it was clear some of them were women. When the gang got inside of the kill zone the man blew a whistle and they opened fire from one side of the road. Half the looters went down the other half started firing at the sound of the shots coming at them. When they did this the other three ambushers started shooting from the other side of the road. They managed to bring down five more of the looters. The remaining four dropped their weapons and put their hands up. They were shot immediately. No prisoners. The mans reasoning was they were looters and that they would have to be shot anyway why go through some form of trial. The good thing was only two of the six horse were killed. They stripped the bodies of anything useful and buried them in a shallow grave. The body count was 13. This left potentially 7-12 looters from the gang alive. A guard would have to be posted along potential routes that they might come from to if they chose to seek revenge.

QUOTE OF THE DAY

"In the absence of the gold standard, there is no way to protectsavings from confiscation through inflation. ... This is the shabbysecret of the welfare statists' tirades against gold. Deficit spendingis simply a scheme for the confiscation of wealth. Gold stands in theway of this insidious process. It stands as a protector of propertyrights. If one grasps this, one has no difficulty in understanding thestatists' antagonism toward the gold standard."

Prophecy or Current Events?

I was talking to a Christian friend of mine yesterday. We got into a discussion of the Bible. Doing the usual scripture references. When we got onto the books of Daniel and Revelations I said you know the book of Revelation used to be prophecy now its current events. Of course its still prophecy but the things in it are coming true. The national ID, one currency, one world government etc.

Woulda Shoulda Coulda

The man wished he had bought that Interceptor body armor he had seen at the swap meet last year. It was used and from the Iraq war but it was better than nothing. That and a standard IIIA vest would have been great. But it was $300.00 then and there was no money to spend at the time for something like that. The couple had made it to his fathers home and were glad to be off the road. Things were relatively peaceful except now there were some looters who were taking advantage of the local Amish population. Being pacifists they were an easy target for such scum. The Amish contrary to popular belief did own firearms, mostly shotguns, for hunting. They would not kill a human being though. The Amish would be good trading partners. They were already liveing in the 19th century when the collapse hit. He could only find 3 other men to help defend the Amish. There were about 20-25 looters roaming the tri-state area. They were mostly on horseback, stolen from the Amish. An ambush was the most likely strategy. They seemed to be armed with an assortment of shotguns and rifles with a couple of AR-15's and the odd SKS. It would be dangerous. So far the looters had not killed any Amish but it was sure that they were not above killing. They had to have done so to have survived on the road for so long. An ambush site away from the victims of their looting was best as to avoid reprisals.

Quote Of The Day

"Of course, members of the dynastic banking families had been financing the Russian-oriented revolutionists for many years. Trotsky, in his biography, refers to some of these loans from British financiers going back as far as 1907. By 1917 the major subsidies for the revolution were being arranged by Sir George Buchanan and Lord Alfred Milner (of the Morgan-Rothschild-Rhodes confederacy). Milner, it will be recalled, was the founder of England’s secret “Round Table” group which started the Royal Institute for International Affairs in England and the Council on Foreign Relations in the United States. One American source gave Trotsky, Lenin and the other Communist leaders around twenty million dollars for the final triumph of Bolshevism in Russia. This was Jacob Schiff of Kuhn, Loeb and Company."

The Road

It was a rainy night as the two people moved in the shadows trying not to be seen by any potential watchers. They had been on foot since Ansonia. Night time was a better travel time when you are on foot. You have a better chance of avoiding anyone that way. Since the collapse you could trust very few people except family and very close friends. The most benign looking farmhouse could contain some very desperate people willing to kill you for the contents of your pockets. Not to mention the roving gangs of looters. For a woman to be captured usually meant rape, enslavement and death when your usefulness was gone. For a man to be captured was death or totrure. The thin veneer of civilization had been completely erased when the money became worthless and the supplies ran out in the cities.

As dawn approached the man spied the old barn for an hour through his binoculars. He and his wife were exhausted. The barn would be a good out of the way place to hole up for the day. After an hour he cautiously approached the barn. It was indeed empty and it looked like no one had been around it for ages. After getting his wife into the barn they changed into some dry clothes and split an MRE and a cup of Ramen noodles. He would take the first watch until noon. As she slept he dried the weapons they had and hung out the wet clothes. Nothing was moving out in the countryside. It was a virtual no-mans land. If you had a home or place to go you were in it. They were on their way to the mans fathers house in northern Ohio. Their car ran out of gas just north of Ansonia, Ohio. They were now just outside of Saint Mary's, Ohio. They had decided against traveling on the I-75 corridor. The population density along the highway was just to high. Once they reached his fathers home they would be relatively safe. He lived in Williams County Ohio. It was a very rural county with a small population. Around noon the rain stopped and he woke up his wife to let her take watch. He was asleep in very short order. His wife got some items in order for their dinner and thought of how well off they were in comparison to other people. She knew little of her husbands preps. He ahd managed to squirrel away equipment for himself and her. She knew he had been buying army surplus items but she didn't know that he had been buying things for her as well. He had a pair of good waterproof combat boots and BDU's for her as well as an ALICE pack, sleep system, rain gear, canteens and every other item you need to live off the land. She had never wanted to hear about his "doom and gloom" theories. Now they had come true and she was glad he ignored her and went about his preparing whithout worrying her with the potentialites of the myriad of disasters that could happen. At 5pm she woke him and they had dinner and prepared for that nights journey. They would give the city of St. Mary's a wide berth and stick to country roads. If they kept making good progress they would be at his fathers in a week. Well before the truly cold weather hit.

Lucasville

Went to the Lucasville (Ohio) swap meet on Sunday. Lot of guns for sale. Mostly shotguns but there were a few handguns. Saw 1 Gold Cup for $1,000.00. That was a good deal. Saw 2 AR's that were overpriced. One was a no-name brand and the guy wanted $900.00. A lot of livestock for sale and cast iron cookery. This swap meet occurs 4 times a year and I usually kind find the odd deal on web gear or ammo or reloading supplies. It reminds me of what will probably be a common occurance in the near future. It also reminds me of the Bater-Faire section of Rawles novel. Where else can you go buy a chicken, axe, .44 MAG brass, and a pair of shoes?

Quotes Of The Day

"It [the State] has taken on a vast mass of new duties and responsibilities; it has spread out its powers until they penetrate to every act of the citizen, however secret; it has begun to throw around its operations the high dignity and impeccability of a State religion; its agents become a separate and superior caste, with authority to bind and loose, and their thumbs in every pot. But it still remains, as it was in the beginning, the common enemy of all well-disposed, industrious and decent men. "

"The government consists of a gang of men exactly like you and me.They have, taking one with another, no special talentfor the business of government;they have only a talent for getting and holding office."

Mindset

How far will you go to ensure your and your familes survival? In a dog eat dog world. What will you do. I have thought long and hard on this. I have read "Patriots: Surviving the Coming Collapse". I would like to think I would behave in the same way as the characters in the book but I doubt it. I would not go out of my way to hurt anyone or make it part of my normal MO. If it came down to me survivng or some other family I guess they are in trouble. That is the brutal truth. I guess thats why you should make every effort to be prepared as much as possible so you never face that situation.

"There ain't no ticks like poly-ticks. Bloodsuckers all."
-Davy Crockett

Are People Worried?

I'm not scared. I'm not neccessarily worried. But are other people. I still hear people at work talking about "when things get better next year..." (I work for a building materials supplier). I have to stop them and say "we'll be lucky if we have a job next year". Its like they have no conception of whats really going on or they are in total denial. Thats what makes survivalists different from the sheeple/lemming that surround us. We see whats going on and try to prepare for it. Others bury their heads and hope for the best. I'm not scared or worried because I have made some preps. for different eventualities. I know that I have a set of skills that will get me through. I have a mindset that will give me an edge. I don't have a mindset that will paralyze me when TSHTF. I don't know if we should even try bothering warning people. It would be a waste of breath.

The Bug Out Bag/Pack

I have a couple of BOB's. One is a medium ALICE pack and the main BOB is a large ALICE with frame. I think that the large is more useful because it carries far more than the medium. I reserve the medium for the wife. I also recently got a MOLLE pack with frame and the entire sleep system from a friend. He said he'd never use it. The MOLLE is a nice "codura" pack but it holds less than my large ALICE. The other fault with the MOLLE is that the frame is plastic. Plastic will break. The large ALICE frame is aluminum. It might bend but it won't break. I try to include items to meet every eventuality (dependent on season).

1 large ALICE pack with frame
1 US army sleep system (attached to pack)
2 pair BDU pants
1 BDU shirt
5 pair undies
5 pair cushion sole socks
3 pair brown or o.d. t shirts
1 pair tennis shoes (for in camp activity)
1 old style (wooden handle) entrenching tool w/ knife
1 2 qt canteen (attached to outside of pack)
4 MRE's
1 frog gig
1 collapsable fishing pole
1 assortment of hooks and weights
1 assortment of USGS maps for area of operations
1 notebook and 1 pen and pencil each
2 boxes trioxane bars
1 package of bullion cubes
2 bandoliers of .223 ammo 100 rounds, mixed
1 angle head flashlight
1 package extra batteries for flashlight
1 small portable radio
1 shelter half or poncho
1 small Bible
1 copy US army survival manual
100 feet of para-cord
6 screw in treesteps
1 small compass
1 pair of gaiters
1 hygiene bag (toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, odorless soap, moist towlette, small roll toilet
paper, disposable razor (3))
1 pint of vodka or whiskey (medicinal or barter use)
4 packs cigarettes (barter use)
1 box waterproof matches
1 sewing kit
1 extra multi-tool
1 spool of snare wire
1 4x8 pc. camo netting
1 roll heavy duty duct tape
4 22" bungees
1 Brillo pad (gets trioxane off your cooker)
1 can opener
1 bottle of foot powder
4 empty sandbags (you can put these over your boots when you are in your sleeping bag)
1 set rain gear

In winter time add
2 pair thermal underwear
3 pair wool socks
1 wool or fleece cap
1 pair extra winter gloves
1 space blanket

Preps.

Well just put in an order for a couple cases of MRE's in case we have to beat feet in the dark of night. A friend at work just bought a Dillon RL650. I will help him set it up so he can get out some ammo. I think what we are seeing now is what they call a "quickening". Things are speeding faster and faster toward the collapse of society. Now they are planning on using troops fresh from Iraq to police us in case of whatever. I feel sorry for those guys if they decide not to follow the Constitution. I know guys who can hit flies at 100 yards. Iraq will look like a playground compared to here.

"A patriot must always be ready to defend his country against his government."
-Edward Abbey

The Failure Of Representative Government

Yesterday the turkies voted for the bankster welfare bill. Of course it was loaded with pork. Including new police state measures. I guess these DC goons think we will lay down for this. Oh who am I kidding we probably will. I for one will not be voting for our local rep. who is up for re-election this year. She's running against a liberal democrat. I won't for for her so I just won't make a mark in that box. I told the rep. in a email "vote for this bailout and I won't vote for you". I like to think I keep my word so....

I saw a clip on Infowars.com yesterday. It was Lyndon Larouche commenting on all this. I always got a kick out of LaRouche. I like it when people stir the pot. Here it is.

http://www.infowars.com/?p=5071

I guess prepping really starts now. Rawles said to get out of the market when it rallies because the rally won't last. I have alittle over $7,000.00 in stock outside of my 401k. I'm thinking of selling off all but $1,000.00 of that and using it to get some tangibles. I am really in need of some medical supplies. I have been stocking up on some food but still could use some MRE's in case form. I have a reloader but very little in the way of primers and powder. Fortunately the grandparents left me a bunch of silver dimes and quarters. Not enough for any major bartering but enough to get by. I'm pretty well squared away on guns. I'm even squared away on medi-evel weapons. 4 compound bows, 1 recurve, 2 longbows. Hell I even have a samurai sword for dealing with local officials who don't "do the right thing" lol. Right now gas is pretty cheap here 3.20-3.49 a gallon. So I guess some more 5 gal. cans are in order as a backup. To Paraphrase General Eisenhower's D-Day message:

You are about to embark upon the Great Crusade, toward which we have striven these many months. The eyes of the world are upon you. The hopes and prayers of liberty-loving people everywhere march with you. In company with our brave Allies and brothers-in-arms onother Fronts, you will bring about the destruction of the NWO warmachine, the elimination of Globalist tyranny over the oppressed peoples of the world, and security for ourselves in a free world.Your task will not be an easy one. Your enemy is well trained, wellequipped and battle hardened. He will fight savagely. But this is the year 2008! Much has happened since the NWO triumphs of1993 and 2001. The United Nations have inflicted upon the world great defeats,in open battle, man-to-man. Our information offensive has seriously reduced their strength in propaganda and their capacity to wage war on the ground. Our HomeFronts have given us an overwhelming superiority in weapons and munitions of war, and placed at our disposal great reserves of trained fighting men.The tide has turned! The free men of the world are marching together toVictory!I have full confidence in your courage and devotion to duty and skill inbattle. We will accept nothing less than full Victory! Good luck! And let us beseech the blessing of Almighty God upon this greatand noble undertaking.

Marital Troubles In Survival Paradise

I've read a couple of blogs lately where the Blogger is having some trouble with the wife. Especially in the survival/preps are. I know from my own life most women don't want to think/hear/see/know anything about where the world/country is heading. I don't know why. Thats just how they are wired. My wife seems to think that it would be horrible for the world to come crashing down. For some reason I don't. In fact I think it would be bad for most but those of us who are prepared we might be better off. No more 9 to 5. No more traffic. No more taxes. No more thug police. A tough life but a fulfilling life.

I think the best way to go is to quietly prepare. Leave her out of it if she does not want to know the why's.

Survival Sugar?

I'm thinking about trying Maple surgar/syrup making. I have a lot of Maple trees on the property. I have been reading a book written by Scott and Helen Nearing (noted socialists/communists). They moved to a rural farm in the 30's and made a partial living by making Maple syrup and sugar. I know nothing about doing it so it will be a great experiment. When the SHTF then syrup/sugar will be a welcome barter product. Not to mention for your own use.

"Today Americans would be outraged if U.N. troops entered Los Angeles to restore order; tomorrow they will be grateful. This is especially true if they were told there was an outside threat from beyond, whether real or promulgated, that threatened our very existence. It is then that all peoples of the world will plead with world leaders to deliver them from this evil. The one thing every man fears is the unknown. When presented with this scenario, individual rights will be willingly relinquished for the guarantee of their well being granted to them by their world government."

Quote Of The Day

"These are the times that try men's souls. The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will,in this crisis, shrink from the service of their country;but he that stands it now, deserves the love and thanks of man and woman.Tyranny, like hell, is not easily conquered; yet we have this consolation with us, that the harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. What we obtain too cheap, we esteem too lightly.Heaven knows how to put a proper price upon its goods;and it would be strange indeed,if so celestial an article as Freedomshould not be highly rated."

Republican Government Wins!!

The bailout failed. What a great example of how our government is supposed to work. The people were against this bill. They called their legislators and let them know it. They also let them know its an election year. The legislators who got the message voted nay on the bill. Now those of us whose legislators ignored our calls to vote nay need to remember that come November 7th. I've read bloggers who have said how the Republicans are going to pay now when peoples 401k's tank. I can't figure that out. They nay votes did what the people wanted. Will the economy and financial sector tank? Well yes it will but not from the lack of a bailout. It will collapse from fiat currency. It will collapse from uncontrolled spending. It will collapse from the federal reserve running the finances with no oversight.

FEAR

Fear not faith runs our economy. Its supposed to be faith in the US that keeps our money and financial system sound. Its not. Its fear. All of the Washington scumbags want this bailout so bag they are threatening us with a collapse/depression. There are a few politicos who are denouncing this bailout for what it is but they are crying in the wilderness. When supposedly die-hard conservative capitolists are praising this piece of socialist legislation you know something stinks. I say lets bring on the depression. Will people be hurt? Hell yes. Those of us who are prepped will be fine. Do you know how to garden? Hunt? Fish? Have a general knowledge of edible wild plants? Can you work with your hands? You will be fine. In many ways you will be better off spiritually and physically. When the chips are down you will find out whats really important in life.

Quote Of The Day

Beware of the leader, who strikes the war drum in order to transfer the citizens into patriotic glow, patriotism is indeed a double-sided sword. It makes the blood so boldly, like it constricts the intellect. And if the striking of the war drum reached a fiebrige height and the blood is cooking and hating, and the intellect is dismissed, the leader doesn't need to reject the citizens rights. The citizens, cought by anxiety and blinded through patriotism, will subordinate all their rights to the leader and this even with happy courage. Why do I know that? I know it, because this is, what I did. And I am Gajus Julius Cäsar.

The Power Is Back Or Praise The Lord

Saturday night the power came back on. We now have an empty freezer and refrdge. Looks like Kroger is going to get a little money today. I am now looking at two options. A regular gasoline generator or one thta uses LP. I think the LP models are more permanent and better but they also cost a lot more. If I had the money to put up solar that would be better in the long run and more useful for everyday living. Nothing like living in the 19th century for a week to put things in perspective.

Day 5 Without Power

Well I should have bought a deck of playing cards. Thank goodness its still summer and the weather is cool. We can at least have campfires. Lord knows there is enough downed trees and branches around to burn. Another item to have extra of is underwear and socks. I would rather have those than spend my life saving at a laundromat. I told my wife on the first night that this is what it will be like after the collapse. Women are funny they would rather not hear or even think about that eventuality. Men see that as rather silly. It will probably happen so why not be ready for it. Mentally as well as logistically. This whole power outage is in its own way a good thing. It shows how unprepared you really are. Just when you think you are set up something like this happens and it shows where you are deficient.

Things to have in a blackout.
Playing cards
Board games
Hurricane lanterns
Coleman lanterns
Extra ice in the freezer
Extra candles
Extra propane tanks

Quote Of The Day

Every collectivist revolution rides in on a Trojan horse of 'emergency'. It was the tactic of Lenin, Hitler, and Mussolini. In the collectivist sweep over a dozen minor countries of Europe, it was the cry of men striving to get on horseback. And 'emergency' became the justification of the subsequent steps. This technique of creating emergency is the greatest achievement that demagoguery attains.
-Herbert Hoover

Are They Coming for Our Guns?

The Answer is yes and no. Boxer, Feinstein, Schumer, Pelosi, Oboma et al. would love to get rid of the 2nd Amendment. Better to tax you without your guns my dear. Can they really do it though? If the stars were crossed right (or wrong) they could potentially get enough votes and a Presidential signiture to do nationwide registration. Only problem is only weak minded gun owners would register. That would leave the rest of us deemed as criminals (domestic terrorists under Patriot Act). Confiscation would/could ensue. They would not need to go door to door to finf out who has weapons. They go to the gun shops shut them down and grab all the yellow forms. What? You say you bought all your guns as private sales and there is no yellow form in your name. Thats OK. They now go and see who has a hunting liscence and throw in anyone with a fishing liscence for good measure. Most hunters, even bowhunters have guns. How about checking your credit card receipts for weapon and ammunition and accessory purchases. Maybe they pick up a guy from your gunclub. Unless he's a completely upright guy he'll rat you out. Do you have a concealed carry permit? If you said yes then they no you have a gun. That is no reason to not get a permit. I have one. If they come for me on the street I'll at least be able to defend myself.

All that said. Confiscating weapons in the US is a dicey proposition for any tyrannical minded government stooge. It would mean open civil war. Any police officer would increase his chances of being shot exponentially. I don't expect they would show up for work. How many National Guardsmen would show up to confiscate grandpas shotgun? There is not enough Federal Gestapo to get the job done. Especially when you throw in their losses on day one of confiscation. My only concern is all the people who rolled over during the Katrina gun confiscation. Katrina was a test tube to see how far they could go. After Katrina the local government did away with the 2nd Amendment and no one did anything about it. That is not a good sign. I like to think that if a cop stuck his nose in my door to grab my guns he would be greeted by a 12ga. Of course I would never be caught in a disaster area under the thumb of big brother, but I wasn't there.

Do they want our guns? Hell yes they do. Can they get them? Not without a major domestic insurgency. We should all still be aware and fight for our rights.

"There will be in the next generation or so a pharmacological method of making people love their servitude and producing dictatorship without tears so to speak. Producing a kind of painless concentration camp for entire societies so that people will in fact have their liberties taken away from them, but will rather enjoy it, because they will be distracted from any desire to rebel by propaganda, or brainwashing, or brainwashing enhanced by pharmacological methods. And this seems to be the final revolution."- Aldous Huxley, Tavistock Group, California Medical School, 1961 -

Are You Prepared?

Are you prepared? Do you have a full tank of gas in all your vehicles. Fuel for Coleman lanterns and extra mantles? Propane in the gas grill? Plenty of candles? Those are some of the things I forgot about. When you are without power in your home for a couple of days you find out just what you did forget. I sit on top of a pile of guns, ammo, web gear, field gear etc. but I forgot some of the basics. I won't be caught off guard again. Remember not all disasters are complete.

Quote Of The Day

"The Technocratic Age is slowly designing an every day more controlled society. The society will be dominated by an elite of persons free from traditional values (!) who will have no doubt in fulfilling their objectives by means of purged techniques with which they will influence the behavior of people and will control and watch the society in all details". "... it will become possible to exert a practically permanent watch on each citizen of the world".
- Zbigniew Brzezinski - (Illuminati and co-founder of Trilateral Commission)

Stay Home or Beat Feet.

I have been thinking lately of where to go in the event of a meltdown. Now I don't expect an overnight collapse. Even the Great Depression took six months to get into full swing. When things start to go to crap is what you have to worry about. I figure that my wife and I will still have our jobs (at least for a while) when maybe our neighbors won't. If you are working how do you keep others from looting you out while you are not home? Sometimes doubling up or hiding your goodies are not feasable. It would be foolish to quit your job if you still have one when things are bad. Unless of course money is completely worthless at that point. I have a peice of rural property back in the woods but I do have neighbors. We are aquainted with them but thats about it. Probably most people out there are like this. Aquainted but thats about it. That is a OK way to be in normal times but when the SHTF nice neighbors can turn into real threats. Those nice people who wave to you as you go off to work will, in bad times, take everything you have or worse yet attack you get it. There is no way you can make your home into enough of a vault to hold determined people out of it for the 8 or more hours you will not be there. The only way I can forsee avoiding that is to keep a bare minimum of supplies in your primary residence and stockpiling at your "retreat".

I have a couple places to go once we reach Road Warrior times but what to do before that. Our house while it is removed from plain site is still not what I would call a retreat. Living off the land is fine for short term but you really need to have a stable defensible shelter. You need to maintain a low profile. Don't look like you are better off than your neighbors. Don't shoot at your property (I have enough land to shoot but I don't). You don't want people to know you have weapons. Don't talk about guns or any other preps.

When to get out? If you've lost your job and things are starting to look dicey around the home its time to go. You want to go when there is still a police presence. It would not be fun to run into a roadblock and get into a shootout.

Quote Of The Day

"Fundamental Bible-believing people do not have the right to indoctrinate their children in their religious beliefs because we, the state, are preparing them for the year 2000, when America will be part of a one-world global society and their children will not fit in."
--Nebraska State Senator Peter Hoagland, speaking on radio in 1983.

9/11 Truth

Some 9/11 truths:

1)Two years ago (Circa 1999) a project set up by the men who now surround George W Bush said what America needed was "a new Pearl Harbor". Its published aims have, alarmingly, come true.-- John Pilger, 12 Dec 2002

2)It is commonly known that the Twin Towers fell on 9/11, but did you know that a third World Trade Center high-rise building also fell that day? WTC Building 7, a 47-story steel-framed skyscraper located one block from the Twin Towers was not hit by any plane, but collapsed at 5:20 that evening, imploding in the exact manner of a professionally engineered demolition. It fell suddenly, straight down, at near freefall speed, and landed in a compact pile of rubble, barely damaging any of the surrounding buildings. These are but a few of eleven characteristics of Building 7's collapse that are consistent only with controlled demolitions. Further, the leaseholder of the three buildings, Larry Silverstein, said in 2002 on PBS that on the afternoon of 9/11 he suggested to the NYC fire department commander that they "pull" WTC 7. "Pull" is an industry term that means "demolish," but it normally takes a team of skilled people many weeks to design and implement large demolitions. Astonishingly, there is no mention of WTC Building 7's remarkable collapse in the 571-page 9/11 Commission Report.

3)Fire has never — prior to or after 9/11 — caused any steel frame building to collapse. The sudden, vertical, explosive, and total collapse of the Twin Towers at near freefall speed can only be explained by controlled demolition.

4)The WTC steel, which if fully examined could have relvealed the effects of explosives, was quickly shipped overseas and melted down. This was an unprecedented violation of federal crime scene laws.

5)Whenever contact is lost with any airplane, fighter jets routinely take to the air to investigate. This commonly occurs about 100 times per year in well under 20 minutes. But on 9/11 nearly two hours passed without any interception. See the Payne Stewart incident.

6)Unidentified insiders made millions on the stocks of American and United Airlines and those of other corporations that were likewise impacted by the attacks. These "put option" bets were made just prior to 9/11.

7)There were warnings of the impending attacks from at least eleven other countries. Also prior to 9/11, insiders such as John Ashcroft, top military officers, and San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown were warned not to fly.

8)Some of the alleged 9/11 "suicide hijackers" are still alive and well, according to the BBC and The Guardian. At least five of the alleged hijackers may have trained at U.S. military bases, as reported in Newsweek and other sources.

9)The Bush administration resisted the formation of the 9/11 Commission for 441 days. Similar investigations, such as those for Pearl Harbor, the JFK assassination, and the space shuttle disasters, all started in about one week.

10)Eyewitness reports and video evidence of multiple explosions. Firefighters describing rings of explosive charges going off in the buildings.

11)Molten metal at the base of all three collapsed WTC towers.

12)Fire Engineering magazine is the 125-year-old paper-of-record of the fire engineering community. Bill Manning, editor-in-chief, wrote an Editor’s Opinion in the January, 2002 edition. His editorial, $elling Out the Investigation, pointed out that destruction of evidence – the hurried removal of rubble which should be examined by investigators – is illegal. He also issued a “call to action”. To quote excerpts:
“For more than three months, structural steel from the World Trade Center has been and continues to be cut up and sold for scrap. Crucial evidence that could answer many questions … is on the slow boat to China …”
“I have combed through our national standard for fire investigation, NFPA 921, but nowhere in it does one find an exemption allowing the destruction of evidence for buildings over 10 stories tall.”
“Fire Engineering has good reason to believe that the ‘official investigation’ blessed by FEMA [Federal Emergency Management Agency] and run by the American Society of Civil Engineers is a half baked farce [emphasis mine] that may have already been commandeered by political forces whose primary interests, to put it mildly, lie far afield of full disclosure. Except for the marginal benefit obtained from a three-day, visual walk-through of evidence sites conducted by ASCE investigation committee members – described by one close source as a ‘tourist trip’ – no one’s checking evidence for anything.”
“The destruction and removal of evidence must stop immediately.”
“Firefighters, this is your call to action. …contact your representatives in Congress and officials in Washington and help us correct this problem immediately.”

13)WTC Building 7 was not hit by airplane or significant debris on September 11th. It had been evacuated after the planes hit the towers. By the afternoon of September 11th, there were a few small fires of unknown origin evident in the building, and these small fires could be seen in only a few of the hundreds and hundreds of windows in the building.
On September 11, 2001, at 5:20PM, EDT, World Trade Center Building 7 suddenly and rapidly collapsed. Beginning with the penthouse, all 47 stories of it imploded into its own footprint in less than seven seconds. Three different videos of Building 7’s vertical collapse – two from CBS video broadcasts, and one from an NBC news camera – can be seen online at http://wtc7.net/videos.html.

14)We spent $40 million dollars investigating the Bill Clinton/Lewinsky scandal. The 9/11 budget was signifigantly less. "Public Law 107-306 provided for the reprogramming of $3 million for the Commission. Congress subsequently appropriated, and the President signed into law, an additional $11 million appropriation for the Commission. Recent legislation authorized an additional $1 million, bringing the Commission’s total budget to $15 million." (direct from the government 9/11 website).

I could go on with this but there is only so much space here. Investigate it yourself.

From Survivalblog.com

The Rude Awakening's Chris Mayer notes: "Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and the Federal Home Loan Bank System (all government-sponsored enterprises, or GSEs) have become giants in the mortgage markets. The Big Three have grown at such a rapid rate over recent years that at the end of 2000, they collectively held $2.9 trillion of mortgage debt, which was equivalent to nearly 56 percent of all US household mortgage debt." That is a mountain of debt, and the American taxpayers are the inevitable surety for it. Most of it is good debt, some of it is so-so debt, and some of it absolute garbage debt held by NINJAs, The mainstream press has tossed around the figure of $200 billion USD to bail out Fannie and Freddie, but the truth is that the final price tag is imponderable. It is impossible to predict, since the credit market is and the housing market are both still in collapse, and we don't yet know where the "bottom" is. As I've previously mentioned, these bailouts are just part of the collective Mother of All Bailouts (MOAB) that has a good chance of bankrupting America.

Quote Of The Day

More From Rockefeller

"For more than a century ideological extremists at either end of the political spectrum have seized upon well-publicized incidents such as my encounter with Castro to attack the Rockefeller family for the inordinate influence they claim we wield over American political and economic institutions. Some even believe we are part of a secret cabal working against the best interests of the United States, characterizing my family and me as ‘internationalists’ and of conspiring with others around the world to build a more integrated global political and economic structure – one world, if you will. If that’s the charge, I stand guilty, and I am proud of it." -David Rockefeller, from his own book, Memoirs.

Quote of the Day

President Woodrow Wilson 1916 "I am a most unhappy man. I have unwittingly ruined my country. A great industrial nation is controlled by its system of credit. Our system of credit is concentrated. The growth of the nation, therefore, and all our activities are in the hands of a few men. We have come to be one of the worst ruled, one of the most completely controlled and dominated governments in the civilized world. No longer a government by free opinion, no longer a government by conviction and the vote of the majority, but a government by the opinion and duress of a small group of dominant men."

Why the 1911?

#1 Combat proven performance. No other current issue combat pistol has as much history as the 1911. Berretta, Glock, Sig, etc. are all fine weapons but only the 1911 has been in every war and conflict of the 20th century.
#2 The combination of a potent caliber and weapon that functions in the worst conditions.
#3 The myriad of modifications that you can do to the gun. Bullseye, IPSC, IDPA, Combat, Self
Defense.
#4 Availability of spare parts. Any gun show will have at least one guy with every part
(including magazines) you need at a resonable cost.

Other "combat" pistols that you carry or will carry in the event of TSHTF are all probably fine weapons. The 1911 just has better track record for something you are betting your life on. Just as you would find a 1973 Ford F150 more reliable than a 2008 Toyota in a grid down situation you should expect the same service out of a firearm. You should do little to a stock 1911. Trigger job, collet bushing, good fixed sights, maybe some skateboard tape on the front of the grip thats about it for a carry gun. The pistol was designed with loose tolerances for functionality in the field where you are likely to encounter mud, dust, dirt, ice, and snow. Accuracy should be expected out to 25 yds. Anything farther is what they make rifles and carbines for.

Quote of the Day II

"We are grateful to the Washington Post, The New York Times, Time Magazine and other great publications whose directors have attended our meetings and respected their promises of discretion for almost forty years. It would have been impossible for us to develop our plan for the world if we had been subjected to the lights of publicity during those years. But, the world is now more sophisticated and prepared to march towards a world government. The supranational sovereignty of an intellectual elite and world bankers is surely preferable to the national auto-determination practiced in past centuries."
-David Rockefeller... Baden-Baden, Germany 1991

I thought this was also an important quote for those of you who think that there is no plan for world government.

OK Already!

Sarah Palin. This GOP Palingasm is getting on my nerves. I would probably like the lady very much. We have many things in common. In fact I have more things in common with Palin than I do my own wife. I'm just getting tired of hearing the gushing going on about her. She is meeting one goal though. She is diverting attention away from the fact that real conservatives don't like Juan Pablo McLame. I have heard now countless times from people: "now I can finally vote for MCain". I ask why? Just because he picked her changes nothing. She will only be the VP. They generally do nothing but wait around for something bad to happen to the Pres. She should be the nominee more than McCain. She has generated more excitement than he ever could.

Bowhunting 101

There are 3 types of longbows and 2 types of crossbows. Longbows first. 1)the compound bow. This is a bow that is the most popular right now. It has a high draw weight (adjustable) and a high percentage letoff (up to 80%). The compound bow is the most effective longbow at taking game today. They are also the most expensive and very complicated to repair. In fact they can only be repaired by a trained bowsmith. They require accessories such as stabilizers, bowsights, string silencers etc. In fact you can exceeed $1,000.00 in setting up a good compound bow. That is a lot of money for a budget minded survivalist. On the plus side it is a great tool for putting dinner on the table. 2)the recurve bow. The recurve bow is the next type for effectiveness. It can have a high draw weight (non adjustable) but no letoff. It requires little maintinence and few accessories. All you need is quiver, arrows and shooting glove. 3)the longbow or straight bow. This is similar to the old english longbow. It also like the recurve can have a high draw weight with no letoff.

All these bows require practice, practice, practice to be their most effective. More practice is required for the recurve and longbow. They also require a higher degree of strength in the arms and back. The compound bow because of letoff allows you to hold the drawn bow longer. Effectiveness is a good clean kill. You do not want to be tracking gutshot game or watch the deer you just shot run off with an arrow sticking out of its hindquarters. You as the hunter owe it to the game to be able to dispatch them quickly and cleanly. Several hours a week should be dedicated to practice. If you can't practice year round you should at least practice 3 times a week 1 month prior to the season. You should try to use a 3-d deer target as this leads you to be used to shooting at deer sized and shaped game. This lessens the chance of "buck fever".

Crossbows are the most effective. They require the least amount of practice. They are the best choice for someone who has some physical impairment that does not allow them to be able to draw a bow. They still have to be able to cock the crossbow but their are tools that aid this. There are many states that do not allow the use of crossbows due to their easyness to use. You can sight in your crossbow and not pick it up for a year and still be effective. Many bowhunters deride anyone that uses a crossbow as cheating. In a survival situation this is not an issue. There are two types of crossbows. Recurves and compound. Recurves are basically a stick and string while the compound are like the compound longbows. They have cams and cables that give them increased power over the recurve type. Compound crossbows are more popular than recurve crossbows. They have more power but are also more complicated.

Arrows or bolts, for crossbows, are now made in diferent materials. The old standard is wood. You can still find wood arrows. You can even make your own in a pinch. You should only use wood arrows in recurves and longbows. Never use wood arrows in a compound. The stresses involved could cause the arrow to shatter. That is a bad thing. The other materials are carbon and aluminum. Aluminum has been the standard for years. Carbon is taking that place lately. Aluminum won't shatter but it can bend and break. Carbon is stronger but you can still break it. Aluminum and carbon arrows are straighter and stronger than wood. You can use them in any type of bow. I would only use aluminum and carbon in crossbows. I would never use wood in any crossbow due to the power of the weapon. All this being said if you intend on useing a compound bow or crossbow in a survival situation you had better stock up on arrows and bolts. Generally they are reuseable but you have to account on lost game with the arrow still in it, breakage after the shot, and just plain old missing and loosing an arrow. If you are going with a recurve or longbow you should still stock up on arrows but like I said you could make your own in a pinch. That gives traditional archery equipment the edge in a long term survival situation.

Broadheads, arrowhead or points. All arrowpoints (broadheads) are made out of steel or some other metal that holds an edge. You will need to stock up on these also, loose an arrow loose the point. Like arrows you can make your own broadheads in a pinch for traditional equipment. Not for modern (compound) bows though. The native Americans for years made then out of stone, mainly flint. Later they aquired steel points from traders or turned settlers wagon wheel rims and cast iron cookware into points. The minimum is two blades for hunting but I would reccomend at least three blades.

Archery equipment is the best way to put meat on the table especially in a survival situation. It is quiet and the projectiles are reuseable. Bowhunting provides good exercise and lets you get close to nature. It teaches you stealth and woodsmanship. It is another world to put an arrow into an animal at 20yds. instead of through a riflescope at 200yds.

ANWR

I'm all for drilling in ANWR (if its done right) but we should have realistic expectations from it.

While some folks desperately cling to the belief that oil is a renewable resource, others hold on to the equally delusional idea that tapping the Arctic National Wildlife Reserve will solve, or at least delay, this crisis. While drilling for oil in ANWR will certainly make a lot of money for the companies doing the drilling, it won't do much to help the overall situation for three reasons:
Reason #1. According of the Department of Energy, drilling in ANWR will only lower oil prices by less than fifty cents;
Reason #2. ANWR contains 10 billion barrels of oil - or about the amount the US consumes in a little more than a year.
Reason #3. As with all oil projects, ANWR will take about 10 years to come online. Once it does, its production will peak at 875,000 barrels per day - but not till the year 2025. By then the US is projected to need a whopping 35 million barrels per day while the world is projected to need 120 million barrels per day.

Bush Denies Reality: “We’re Not Headed into a Recession”
Jon WardThe Washington TimesFebruary 28, 2008
Bush, at odds with dozens of economic experts, calls the recession, threatening to fall into a full-blown depression, a "slowdown" and then hypes his "$157 billion financial stimulus package" that will exacerbate the deficit.

WASHINGTON — President Bush today continued to insist that the U.S. economy is not headed for a recession, called new Cuban leader Raul Castro a “tyrant,” and expressed uncertainty about whether Russian president Vladimir Putin will truly hand over power this weekend, during a wide-ranging press conference at the White House.
Mr. Bush’s first press conference of 2008 touched on many topics but questions repeatedly brought the focus back to the economy.
“I don’t think we’re headed to a recession. There’s no question we’re in a slowdown,” Mr. Bush said, when asked about reports today of a slowing in the growth of gross domestic product.
He gave new details about rebate checks that will go out to taxpayers as part of the recently passed $157 billion financial stimulus package. Checks of $300 to $1,200 will start going out in the second week of May, he said.
Welcome to the North American Army
Judi McLeod Canada Free PressFebruary 25, 2008
Will historians one day record that “It happened on Valentine’s Day” when chronicling the timetable of the North American Union (NAU)?
With no warning, a significant military agreement was signed by the chief Armed Forces commanders of both the U.S.A. and Canada on Feb. 14. The agreement allows the armed forces from one nation to support the armed forces of the other nation during a domestic civil emergency.
And as Jerome R. Corsi writes of the range of domestic civil emergencies, in WorldNetDaily, “even one that does not involve a cross-border crisis.”
The Valentine’s Day pact got zero coverage in the mainstream media whose investigative reporters must have been out hunting down chocolate and posies.
Were it not for a USNORTHCOM photo that surfaced depicting a beaming U.S. air Force Gen. Gene Renuart, USNORTHCOM commander and Canadian Air Force Lt. Gen. Marc Dumais, commander of Canada Command, the public the media serve would have been left in the dark.
Perhaps the generals won’t get to tell North American Union suspecting citizens that the NAU is the province of only the conspiracy theorist.
Paperwork always comes in handy when bureaucrats cry “Conspiracy Theory”.
Defined by its architects as a “Civil Assistance Plan”, the agreement was never submitted to Congress for approval.
“Nor did Congress pass any law or treaty specifically authorizing this military agreement to combine the operations of the armed forces of the United States and Canada in the event of a wide range of domestic civil disturbances ranging from violent storms, to heal epidemics, to civil riots or terrorist attacks.” (WorldNetDaily, Feb. 24, 2008).
Mind you, reporter David Pugliese, had the story published by CanWest News Service on Friday.
Imagine an agreement that paves the way for the militaries of the U.S. and Canada to cross each other’s borders to fight domestic emergencies not being announced by either the Harper government or the Canadian military.
“It’s kind of a trend when it comes to issues of Canada-U.S. relations and contentious issues like military integration,” Stuart Trew, a researcher with the Council of Canadians told the CanWest News Service. “We see that this government is reluctant to disclose information to Canadians that is readily available on American and Mexican websites.”
“This document is a unique, bilateral military plan to align our respective national military plans to respond quickly to the other nation’s requests for military support of civil authorities,” Renuart said in a statement published on the USNORTHCom website.
“The signing of this plan is an important symbol of the already strong working relationship between Canada Command and the U.S. Northern Command,” said Lt. Gen. Dumais.
“Our commands were created by our respective governments to respond to the defense and security challenges of the twenty-first century,” he stressed, “and we both realize that these and other challenges are best met through cooperation between friends.”
While Canadian citizens opened their homes to Americans stranded on September 11, 2001, there was no military aid sent to the U.S. from Canada, whose then Prime Minister Jean Chrétien remained silent.
In a program on the first anniversary of the deadly hijackings, Chrétien told CBC TV that a clear signal had been sent to all Western countries: do not abuse your strength or wealth.
“You cannot exercise your powers to the point of humiliation for the others,” Chrétien said. “And that is what the western world—not only the Americans, the Western world—has to realize. Because they are human beings, too.”
Truth is the Chrétien crony Liberals haven’t gone away. They are merely waiting in the wings to bring down the Harper minority government.
The same Liberals who join the Canadian New Democrat Party (NDP) whose mantra is to bring the troops home from Afghanistan.
Some Liberal and NDP MPs continue to hold anti-American sentiments.
That’s a strange environment from which to forge a plan whose “challenges are best met through cooperation between friends”, Lieutenant General Dumais.
U.S. Northern Command was established on Oct. 1, 2002, as a military command tasked with anticipating and conducting homeland defense and civil support operations where U.S. armed forces are used in domestic emergencies.
Canada Command was established on Feb. 1, 2006, to focus on domestic operations and offer a single point of contact for all domestic and continental defense and securities partners.
Meanwhile, since the North American Union is a three-nation initiative, when will the Mexican Army be brought in during a domestic civil emergency?
